Utility systems are multi-tenant before anybody says the word. Metering data arrives continuously, assets have decades-long lifecycles, and a second customer exposes every assumption the first one let you avoid.
What we have built here
A metering and asset product had one utility customer and needed a second. The deadline turned out to be a data-modelling one: single-tenant assumptions surface only when a second tenant arrives. The client ended with a tenancy model that admits a third without another rewrite.
